Today we had our reading test. I felt nervous  because I think I could of  done better but i'm happy that I completed the test.

Light - Science intensive

Here is my writing

Today room 10 and I went to room 9 for science intensive and to learn about Light.

We went to room 9 and sat on the mat. Then we first had an question what is light. We answered back Light is , power , has energy running through light and the most important thing is sun because it has more energy so that we can have light in our world.

After that Mrs K was telling that we have 3 activity that we can learn about light.

Our Activity

Our activity was laser mirror,  Magnified and finally crystal ball light. First I went to Laser mirror. So what you have to do is get a laser and try to bounce it to the other mirror. Next one is Magnified with a paper so what I have done is I put the Magnified  on the paper everything look normal then when I put it on the glass it look different. So the last one is crystal ball and light. We had an light and we light the light and then we got the crystal and light it on the crystal. It looked like a rainbow so that was the end and it was morning the time.

I feel sad about what I read today because he was crying because he came last

Financial Lit

Today room 10 had Financial Lit at Glenbrae school. Today we learnt about Risk and Insurance.

Our first lesson was learning  about risk management. We got a paper and then we wrote down car insurance and stopping it with different insurance. After that we said our answer to raymond and he wrote it on the board. After that we got other paper and write down the belongings to to the different insurance. Then we learned about to locking your house and making sure no ones has steel your thing in you house.

Then we said bye to Grigan and Raymond and then they gave room 10 chocolate and certificate to the people who were participating. Then we were happy and then we find out that it was our last day some people was sad. But it was fun.

Science Intensive

WALT: Today We done science.

Today In our science intensive we learned to do a rocket. Step one. We got a bottle and get three pencil and tape and tape the pencils on the bottle on each side. Then we pour the vinegar in the bottle. Then we had an spoon and a towel and pour baking soda in it then we went out side to try all the ingredients in to the bottle then we shake it and put it upside down to make it explode. Then we were happy because it was working but some were sad because there rocket did not work but they did tried there best and to let you know we did put an rubber bang at the top to hold the vinegar ..

What happens

The baking soda reacted with the vinegar. The baking soda is a base, the vinegar is an acid. When they are combine, they react and carbon dioxide is released.

Financial Lit

One 6 September 2016, room 10 and the teachers learnt about financial literacy with Griegan and Raymond.

So first of all Griegan and Raymond came into our class to teach financial literacy. They were teaching us about money. It was about saving and spending. Raymond gave us a sheet of paper and we had to tick or cross the ones that supposed to save or spend. We had to write down what we wanted for christmas. I wanted a xbox 360 for christmas. Finally we had to tell them what we have learnt about money.

I feel happy because I get to save my money to buy the xbox 360 for christmas.

Financial Literacy

On 5 September we had Financial Literacy at glenbrae room 10 with Gregan and Raymond we were learning about  how to save money and spend money.

First we were meeting Gregan and Raymond. Then Raymond done some writing about saving money and how so we all answer to all the questions. After that we learned about how to spend money and take care. After that we learned about Income and Expenses. First we learned about it. After that we learned about aroha how she spend money a month. Then we circle the thing that she need to not bye. Then we learned to save money for christmas. We listed down a lot of thing we wanted to buy but we save.

We do lots of chores and the we get $10 dollars every week for doing chores. Then we finished and said” bye and Thank you”.

I felt happy because we learned a lot of saving money and carefully spending money.
